We help people in Singapore explore coaching and activity connections. Here is what an enquiry does—and what you should confirm before taking part.
A request, not a booking
The website saves requests for SLYH to review and follow up. It does not automatically book a coach, confirm an activity partner, reserve a venue or take payment. A saved reference confirms receipt, not availability or acceptance.
Activity requests are expressions of interest, not confirmed events. Coach applications are private submissions, not approved profiles. A sport appearing on the website does not mean a coach or group is currently available.
Before you commit
Ask who is providing and organising the session, whether SLYH is making an introduction or delivering the service, and who is responsible for payment and support. Confirm the coach, venue, dates, full price, equipment, cancellation and refund arrangements in writing before agreeing or paying.
No paid-service or cancellation contract is created just by sending an enquiry. This page explains the current website; it is not a substitute for the specific agreement for a future service.
Check the fit and credentials
Ask about qualifications relevant to the sport, experience with your goals and age group, first-aid readiness and appropriate insurance. Where registration or a programme-specific qualification is required, check that it is current and applies to that programme.
A submitted qualification is not independent verification, and a coach application is not an endorsement. Coaching qualifications alone do not authorise someone to diagnose a condition or provide medical treatment. There is no guarantee of a match, sporting outcome or work for applicants.
Take part thoughtfully
Agree the activity, level, costs and ground rules before meeting. Choose an appropriate public or staffed venue, tell someone your plans and keep personal and financial information private. Consider the weather, equipment and your current abilities; stop if you feel unwell or unsafe.
For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian—or an authorised school or organisation—should make the initial enquiry and agree suitable supervision and safeguarding arrangements before participation. An online introduction is not a safeguarding check.
This website and its inbox are not emergency services. If there is immediate danger or a medical emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service rather than waiting for an email reply.
Health information has limits
The health basics section is general well-being information for adults, not medical advice or a tool to diagnose, monitor or treat a medical condition. BMI and maintenance-calorie estimates cannot decide whether you are healthy or what you personally should eat.
The exercise planner gives an adjustable starter week for adults aged 18–64 using available time, current activity and movement preference. Height and weight are optional BMI context, not a basis for exercise intensity. Its support question is not medical clearance; the routine is not an individually validated prescription or a complete sports-training programme.
Read each tool’s exclusions and assumptions. Speak with a doctor or registered dietitian for individual medical or nutrition guidance, especially if a condition, prescribed diet, pregnancy or recovery affects your needs. An appropriately qualified exercise professional can help adapt a routine within those requirements.
Singapore first
Our current enquiries focus on Singapore. Being able to access this site from another country does not confirm service availability or compliance with that country’s requirements. Cross-border arrangements need a separate review of local rules before they are offered.
SLYH is independent of MOE, SportSG and GeBIZ. Our explanations of public guidance do not imply endorsement or a partnership.
